Sporting KC, Zusi agreed to terms on new deal (AP)
Midfielder Graham Zusi has signed a new contract with Sporting Kansas City after putting together a breakout season in which he scored five goals and added nine assists. The 25-year-old Zusi also had a career-best 35 appearances while gaining a reputation for his long-range goals. His strong MLS campaign earned him a spot on the U.S.
Timbers welcome Scottish striker Kris Boyd (AP)
Striker Kris Boyd, the Scottish Premier League's all-time leading scorer, has joined Major League Soccer's Portland Timbers. Boyd was signed by the Timbers in late January, but his arrival in Portland was delayed while he secured a visa. The 28-year-old Boyd scored 164 goals in a total of 296 appearances in the SPL with Kilmarnock and Rangers.
De Rosario agrees to new DC United contract (AP)
Major League Soccer MVP Dwayne De Rosario has agreed to a new contract with D.C. United. The 33-year-old midfielder moved from Toronto FC to the New York Red Bulls to D.C.
