Westbrook, Durant too much for Celtics (AP)

The Boston Celtics can only hope their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder is a microcosm of their season: a dreadful first half and a gutsy second half. Either way, they'd like the final result to be better. Russell Westbrook scored 31 points, Kevin Durant added 28 and the Thunder sustained a late Boston rally before beating the Celtics 119-104 on Wednesday night for their 11th straight win...

Lin, Knicks pound undermanned Hawks (AP)

Not much heat from the Hawks for Jeremy Lin and the New York Knicks. That's likely to change Thursday night when it's Lin vs. LeBron in Miami. Lin had 17 points and nine assists, sitting out most of the fourth quarter in a rare easy game during his remarkable run, and the Knicks tuned up for their trip by beating Atlanta 99-82 on Wednesday.

Noah's triple-double sparks Bulls (AP)

A rare triple-double was all well and good for Joakim Noah. More important for him was this: the Bulls got another big win. "He will rejoin us after the break," Carlisle said, without elaborating, when he announced Odom's absence at the end of his pregame availability. |
Lin on SI cover for second straight week (AP)

Covering Jeremy Lin has been easy for Sports Illustrated. The high-scoring Knicks newcomer is on the cover of SI for the second week in a row. He's the first New York-based team athlete to be given such treatment since the magazine started in 1954 -- not even Mickey Mantle, Joe Namath or Eli Manning made two straight.

Magic roll, win ninth straight vs. Nets (AP)

Dwight Howard aced his audition for the New Jersey Nets. The Orlando center had 20 points and 17 rebounds, threw in a couple of blocks and dunks and had Nets' fans chanting his name throughout the game in leading the Magic to a 108-91 victory on Wednesday night in what was certainly a showcase for next month's trading-day deadline.

MSG punishes announcer for Lin comment (AP)
MSG says it has punished a radio announcer who used an offensive term about Knicks guard Jeremy Lin. The network says the term Spero Dedes "unintentionally and inadvertently" used was "inappropriate and inconsistent with the high regard we have for Jeremy Lin as a member of our MSG family, as well as for the Asian community." In a statement, Dedes says he has apologized to Lin...
